The combat in the game looks fun. Looks like they've fixed the framerate issues from Infinite Undiscovery

It doesn't appear to be seamless transition from exploration to combat as in IU, it appears it loads battle sequences, a bit like in Tales of Vesperia. Not complaining, just that it appears different.

I'm waiting on the reviews for this one. Between Street Fighter 4, Calzone 2, Resident Evil 5 and maybe Halo Wars... I'll have plenty keeping me going.

Yea it does load battle "arenas" just like Vesperia, so it does play differently. But even w/ all the spells/effects going on screen in those videos, the framerate appears to keep up. In IU when too many spells/effects were happening things would be chugs-ville. So it's a plus. It's most def a blind buy for me. Only other upcoming game that's a day 1 buy prolly will be the Genesis collection, and i'll prolly wait on price reductions for RE5

Halo Wars and RE5 will probably consume my gaming time when this comes out, but if the reviews are good Iíll probably pick it up.

It's how Star Ocean: Til the End of Time handled battle. Frankly, I'm fine with it.

I wasn't pointing it out as something flawed. Just that it may explain the better framerates.

Quick question to people that have played Star Ocean. Is the story contiguous? I got Star Ocean I, II, and III, but haven't played them yet so wondering if I should do that before playing 4.

I think 4 is a prequel to all of them/
