Default Dead Rising 2 Confirmed multiplatform: 2009

In the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Capcom indicated that 2009 would be 'the year of multiplatform'. In 2009, they will be focusing on releasing primarily multiplatform games for both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. This includes the sequel to the 360 exclusive zombie beat 'em up, Dead Rising. The sequel has finally been confirmed, and is due to hit in 2009. Capcom does promise some special goodies exclusive to the 360 version, in order to show it's good will towards the console.
I agree w/ the first poster on n4g...where was the goodwill toward the Playstation brand when DMC4 when multi?

Well...I don't think i can be excited about Dead Rising 2 until I know they have a real save feature.

If this is a legitimate story and not one of the bimonthly "breaking rumors/news about Dead Rising 2", then I say bring it on, I'll put my preorder in tomorrow.

I loved part 1, and have always wanted to go back and play again, but the save was as bad as early Resident Evils....Exactly why I don't play them either. What gives Capcom..Of course getting in the vehicle and plowing over thousands of zombies was priceless.

The save feature was fine. If it was a normal stop n save it would be way to easy to get the acheivements.

Umm, the game shouldn't be designed around "achievements". It should be the other way around.

Didn't like the first one. Tepid gameplay, boring story, lackluster graphics.

Okay lets put it this way, it would have been way to easy without the saves the way they were. And if it was a simple save system i think it would have lost some of its apeal. You really didnt want to die or you had to do alot over if you didnt find a bathroom, the other way it would be to simple just save anytime.
