Default How do downloaded PSX/PSone games look?

Just curios. How do these PSX games, you can buy on PSN, look like? Are there any graphical enhancements? Scaled to HD?

I'm ready to download Spyro The Dragon and Suikoden and that's the only thing that still blocks my way.

And by the way: Why is that one Castlevania game so darn expensive? $9,99US, why?

I picked up Street Fighter Alpha and Twisted Metal II. Well, they look like PS1 games. I don't know if they have been upgraded, but they look rough as hell I think. If you enjoyed the games then, well, go ahead...!

I guess it depends on how big your tv is and whatnot. I played ffVIII on my 56 inch and umm yah it wasn't exactly pretty. cutscene's looked nice. When I played it on my other 37 Inch t.v it wasn't quite so bad.

If you have a nice crt still I bet they'd be fine and some even still good looking.

Thanks grasp.

I think I'll only buy Suikoden then.

Spyro is inexpensive enough to buy it on the original media.

Another question, not slightly related to the topic but still about PSN:

How long is the first episode of Penny Arcade: On The Rain Slick Precipice Of Darkness?

I'm gonna download that too.

The 2d games tend to scale better then the 3d ones. But all in all they tend to not look all that great.

4-6 hours? Not bad. For someone like me who enjoyed Linger In Shadows for more than 4 hours, that could possibly mean some great value.

Thanks. I go and get it immediately. It's only 7,99 on PSN. Yay.

40% already. Damn it. Can't wait till I score the first trophy in that game

They look a lot better when played on a PSP due to the smaller screen./

Make sure you set the PS3 to upscale and smooth as well. But generally they still look like PS1 and PS2 games.
