That thought did cross my mind since I'm about half way through MGS 1, and haven't gone back to it since all these games came out.

I should have Suikoden 5 finished by the end of this evening. I'm hoping. I'm pushing towards the 80 hour mark.

After that, I'm trying to figure out what to play next. I have my PSX Final Fantasy collections staring at me. I'm debating on trudging through FF4. However, I'm under the impression that the DS version is superior because of it's "fixed" story elements and whatnot. Is it worth it to play the PSX version, or would I be better off holding out till I get a DS?

The DS version is super-hard and kind of ugly, with the new 3D graphics. The PSX version is a faithful port, but unfortunately it has terrible load times when going into the menu.

I'd say the best version is the GBA one. That one is both faithful and good technically.

Yeah, I slowly lost my mind while playing FF6 on the PSX. That thing is like molasses. I figured it'd probably be the same. Definitely playable...but not ideal.

It was sluggish on the PS1?

How disappointing. I didn't know that.

The graphics themselves are fine, but it takes like 5 seconds to get into the menu. Same with Chrono Trigger.

^ Don't forget the loading for battles. OMG!!! Those things start as "okay, I can live with that"...but slowly start to get annoying.

There was a timed portion of the game that was irritating as all hell. I remember the loud times came out of the "time left" bucket.

Some games I started last year, but just now finished them.
Dead Space: Great game, franchise I hope if they play it right.
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2: Fun but hard, and online play was alright.
Fallout 3 : Didn't finish it. Not my thing I guess. I really tried to like it and I put in around 14 hours of play on it, but I got bored. Not saying it was a bad game, it just wasn't the type of game for me.
Resistance 2: Liked the game, the graphics are great and the controls are better than the first game, but the story was shallow. Online play is alot of fun.
Call of Duty World at War: Love this game, still play it all the time, online is fantastic.Storyline is not as good as previous installments, but it's still the best WW II game available. Plus the amped up violence is a added plus and most of the glitches have been removed so the little bastards can't go under the map anymore. Nazi Zombies is a nice little extra included at the end of the game.
Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2: Good game for tactical based gameplay. Good graphics for the most part, but the online play is the best thing about it.
Far Cry: Didn't finish it, got bored of driving around the massive map, and it got repetitive in my opinion. The online play was alright though.
Prince of Persia: Still playing this off and on. Great looking game, like the added combo work with the Princess, but I don't get the excitement like I got with God of War 2, which in my opinion is very similar.

    The games i'm looking forward to are RE5,Killzone 2, and F.E.A.R. 2
Game i'll be playing tonight and this weekend Call of Duty World at War

Recently I've finished Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider: Underworld, CSI: Hard Evidence and Fable 2 (disappointed with the ending. No Final Boss Fight) on the 360 and Resistance: FoM and Little Big Planet on the PS3.

I've been without a working 360 for almost 3 weeks and my gaming options are limited right now. I miss playing Left 4 Dead.
