Default Guitar Hero Drum set

I was wanting to know if or when the drum set will be available to get by themself. For the X-box 360.

according to guitarhero.com no.... they don't have the drum kit released as a separate accessory yet. It'll surely be out within a couple months, it took RockBand a few months to release the drums separately. They are going to try to make as much money off the bundle as they can first.

They are planning a release in March, curiously around the same time Guitar Hero Metallica comes out. Maybe the drum set will actually work right when they decide to release it stand alone.

I wish they would say something about it. Like a date or how much it is going to be.I have 2 guitar and would hate to have to go and buy the bundle just to get the drums.

i use RB2 drums for GHWT, the only think i don't like it having to hit the blue and yellow pads simultaneously for star power. how do the GHWT drums handle this?

The GHWT drums handle this by hitting the cymbals. I am actually very conflicted by these two games being a drummer in real life. I think that GHWT has a better song list and better quality of gameplay and sound quality. I am really disappointed that the GHWT drums are plagued with the same quality control issues that the RB1 set had when they game out. In fact, there were 3 different versions of the RB1 set alone. It is my hope that they will address the issues of sensitivity and durability when they release the standalone set along with GHM. It is also rumored they will be issuing a bundle with the Metallica version that will include two kick pedals. Anyways, I will continue using the RB drums until they have worked out all of the kinks.

Edit: I also wanted to mention that my RB2 drum heads are falling off after only a month so I don't know exactly how much they can do for a $100 drum set. I have a new set on order with GoodWoods and I hear that this company is making a mod for the GHWT also.

I agree unless they come up with some heavy duty drums where maybe the senistivity is adjustable it might work but one universal drum set for different types of drumming styles just aint gonna work. Some people hit harder and lack control ...these are the ones I am assuming must have the most trouble with the game. Just guessing because I would rather play in real life than in my basement.
Either way I will wait patiently for the Bobby Jarzombek Drum Hero addition to come out.

LOL
