Default PS2 controller adapter for the PS3

I have the SFII Anniversary arcade stick. I modded it with HAPP competition buttons & stick. Unfortunately, it's for the PS2, so I need a PS3 adapter.

Do you guys know of any adapter that will work?

Assuming all of your contacts line up and haven't been changed from the modification - I'm assuming any of the after-market controller adapters would work.

The price difference on those are so far apart. I'm almost tempted to get the more expensive one.

Yeah - I noticed that....I'd check Best Buy or Circuit City, or hell - even Ebay...I'm sure there may be more options, but...thats pretty much the setup you are looking at.

Don't buy anything from Pelican because their stuff just doesn't work. It's literally like they just made something that allows you to plug a PS2 controler into one end the USB end into a PS3, only to not actually have the two wired together.

jakebonz - You couldnt be more wrong. The Pelican PS2~PS3 converter is the best converter on the market. Second is the Korean InPin Converter.

A review - http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/conver...verter-review/

I was able to pull off Akiras K+G knee in VF5 (which requires you to release the G after 1 frame. Game runs 60 FPS) no problem. This is almost impossible on other converters due to other converters having lag. Furthermore, they work with ANY pad for the PS1/2, INCLUDING THE NON DUAL SHOCK PADS AND SHITTY 3RD PARTY PADS.

Thing is, they are discontinued and are becoming rare (and expensive) to find. You wont find them @ any retail outlet because they were made in limited quanities and they sold out within a matter of months IIRC. Check eBay and youll see that they sell in the $50 - $60 price range. Mind you, these are for used ones. Why is that? Because they work perfectly.

Professor - I have 2 Pelicans left. I originally had 7 Saturday, and now down to 2 today. I mod the Pelicans with a much more durable USB cable. PM if youre interested.

Well, then I'm hoping they changed their design, or I could be totally wrong about the brand. But there is one out there that is total crap that doesn't even function

My Pelican worked for the few months I used it. Only reason I stopped using it is I finally bought more PS3 controllers

No, it's Pelican, but if you say yours actually works, then they must have changed their design. Here's the one I have:
