Default Which PS2 system is better: older or newer version?

I just got my PS3 game system, but now I am looking into getting a PlayStation 2 system, but my question is, which one is better built: the older, fatter models, or the newer, thin models?

To my knowledge despite running really hot, the newer models do.

Go with the slim! Less Disc read errors and more reliable from my experience!

Also it's nice how little room they take up/

I'd just give you mine...but Sony needs to just let the PS3 play Import PS2 Games.

Ugh, the only reason I still have my PS2 is so I can play Berserk.
