Default Wii graphics issues?

Anyone ever have this problem?

The other night I noticed that there were some color issues with playing Mario Super Sluggers. The reds and blues are all purples, and the colors are way off. I also notice that the signal to my receiver doesn't work quite right on this game, so I have to switch back and forth till it picks up the signal again. I've had this problem with the Samurai Showdown as well.

However, it's not consistant. If I play Zelda, Mario, or No More Hero's the colors are fine.

I thought it might be a screen mode, and I switched to 480i and non-widescreen mode. The screen displayed purples for reds/blues again. I'm wondering if it's a.) the Wii b.) the component cable.

Anyone else heard of this problem, or experienced it?

Edit: Apparently this fixes a few VC glitches....I'll try it out tonight.

Select "Operations Manual" from the Home menu.
Press the Z + A + 2 Other Buttons simultaneously (the Z Button is on the Nunchuk). A sound will be heard if the button combination has been entered correctly.

Well I finally tracked down the problem to my receiver. Apparenlly whatever signal the Wii sends for the particular games I was playing was creating issues when coverted to YpBCR on the HDMI out setting. Once I set the HDMI out to RGB, the color issues went away. I'm not sure why this was a problem, but maybe it has something to do with 480i signals versus 480p signals.

Yes. I'm having graphics problems with the Wii. It's setting seems to be stuck on 480p.

I've never had that issue, but I do sometimes have issues with odd artifacts. I'm unsure as to what the cause is as well. But in my case it's not quite so pronounced and annoying on balance, so I don't care all that much.

Wow.

That's even worser than my problem with both, the PS3 and the XBOX360. They're both stuck on 1080p

I've read about that on the nintendo forums and it's apparently from a defective video chip. So if you wanted it to get it fixed you could send it in as long as it's under warrenty.
