Default Wii - Is it worth it?

I found some Wii's in stock and am considering buying it. I love Mario games and Mario Kart and Zelda, although there isn't much after that for the Wii. Is it worth it? I already own a 360 and PS3

i was in the same boat, mario and zelda is the only reason i bought a wii, and its the only games i've really played on it. if you got the extra cash i'd pick it up just for those games and any of the other classic games you like that you can download. But mine has been collecting dust for the past 3 or 4 months though.

Only you can really answer that.

I bought one and feel like it's a waste. My 360 and PS3 takes up my time, and the motion sensing controller feels like a gimmick after a while. The only Wii game I'll be buying this fall is Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop.

If you're really into Mario Games and Zelda, then it might be worth it to you. IMO, the selection of good Wii titles pales in comparison with the other two systems, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

While it's true there's nowhere near the selection of good games of the 360 or PS3 on it, I still think there's enough to make it worth owning.

Of course all the Nintendo mainstays are great, but there are some other pretty fun games like No More Heroes and Boom Blox. And don't forget the classics you can download off the Virtual Console and any GC compatibility.

If you can enjoy fun games with decent graphics, I say go for it.

In my opinion it was a total waste. I rarely play any of the games except in passing on the Wii. I don't find the Wiimote very interesting and the console is definetly lacking some serious games. About the best I've found so far was No More Hero's. I guess I'm just tired of the Mario and Zelda thing. Radiant Dawn and Tales of Symphonia will be the highlights of that console for me - that's not very impressive.

I may buy a Wii shortly after the new Animal Crossing gets released.

It's true however. Nintendo lost a lot of good gaming series over the past years, starting with last generations Gamecube (the only Nintendo console I haven't spent at least 100-150 hours of gameplay).

Well if anything, I think that during the holiday's you can probaby resell it for a pretty good profit if you don't like it. I may go ahead and buy it now.
