Default Resistance 2 Review Thread

IGN has already posted their review, and it receives an "Incredible" 9.5. Can't wait!

Wow that's a pretty huge review score. I'm guessing that the Singleplayer is going to be amazing as well. You don't get a 9.5 if both online and singleplayer aren't awesome, and I already know that the online is great

This game has a lot of value in it, like 3 different modes.

Single player campaign, Online Co-op campaign and Online VS. modes.

Day 1 purchase for me!

Not a day one purchase for me, but then no FPS game is a day one purchase. RPGs and whackier titles like LBP, Rock Band and 3rd person action games take higher priority. I WILL get this game eventually (or else my friend at Insomniac will kill me) but there's too much other stuff to play right now. If this game had come out in April or May it would have been a day 1 purchase since that's usually a pretty dry spell, but in this last quarter? It's not about the money it's about finding the time to actually PLAY these games.

I found myself in the horrifying position over the weekend of picking LBP and having my wife stand there and point at Bioshock saying "Hey, didn't you want that game? We should pick it up." And *I* was the one that actually said "no," because when I considered we'd just gotten Rock Band 2 earlier in the week, were in the process of picking up LBP now, and had Fallout 3 to get TODAY, with Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia and Valkyrie Chronicles coming in November and December... It just seemed stupid to me to have surplus of new games sitting there unplayed like that.

It's day one for me. I'm a huge fan of coop as I have a friend who I like to play through virtually all my PS3 titles with. This makes it easy, and it's a rock solid game.

Very mind-blowing scale, so far as how big the monsters are etc

After playing the beta, this is a day on for me.

I've been playing the demo more than Little Big Planet for the last few days.
As cool as LBP is, I just get bored of it after about an hour of so, R2 I could play for hours and hours losing track of time.

I hear ya. I accidentally lost 1.5 hours to some coop on sunday night. I got to bed after midnight because of it, and had no idea it was that late.
