Default Nintendo increasing shipments for Wii, by 50% More Wiis available for holidays

Have you guys noticed that the Wii is everywhere. I mean I walked into Best Buy and saw a fricking Pallet of Wii's. Target Wallmart same thing fully stocked. Now that the hype is dying down do you guys think that this will affect sales this year.

I think Nintendo really screwed up honestly by having so many production "problems" real or artificial, I don't care, you have the hottest console for the last 2 major selling seasons and you can't ramp up production in the previous 10 months to meet demand and rake in profit? 3 years into the console life has seen some loss of interest in the games and now they get production in line with demand for what is shaping up to be one of the worst holiday sales seasons many of us have ever seen?

My opinion is that they've been afraid of the demand for it nosediving. Thus after building/renting new plants they wouldn't need them anymore, at least this is what I think they're thinking.

I think part of the driving force in sales was the fact you can't find it.

As far as the increase... i predict lots of ebay sales.

I see them now at least once a month at best buy and I see them pretty much everytime I go to toys r us. I would expect though regardless that as christmas approaches that this wont be the case. After christmas you will probably see them sitting on shelves finally on a regular basis
