Default Should we make our own ratings for games

It occurs to me that ratings seem to really be important here, but how often do you disagree with them? I propose that we set up a scale of which games we universally agree are top to bottom for Xbox360 and PS3, and then when a new game comes out we rate them and give plusses and minuses (with the current rating schedule in mind)

It might look something like this for PS3 and the games I have
100
95
Uncharted
COD4
Little Big Planet
80
Heavenly Sword (punished for length)
Resistance Fall Of Man
Orange Box
Motorstorm
GRAW
70
Blazing Angels
60
Virtua Fighter 5
Jeopardy
50
Smugglers' Run!

etc. Where the scale is pre-determined, so we're all on the same page. That way the scores would make more sense than metacritic in terms of consistancy... it would be our opinions that would be at odds, but at least I would think the numbers would be closer - It would also help discount reviews you didn't think fair/trollish.

One man's perfect MGS4 is another man's oh man - overhyped.. 40% hopefully with this scale you could say.. really... MGS4 was better than Uncharted (probably was - I don't know didn't play it) or .. Really? MGS4 was worse than Jeopardy and Virtua Fighter 5?

What do you think?

If you want to rate PS3 Games - join in and I'll start a master list. For the 360 we need someone who is going to be objective and fair with their numbers too... I don't know those games..so... someone to step up?

We would have to decide what to rate them on too - criteria..
Gameplay
Feel
Art direction/quality
sound
features - multiplayer etc.
replayability
story
??

I rate games based on Baldwins. Alec is the highest rating and Stephen is the lowest

I'd say Daniel is the lowest, given he has only starred in B-movies and he has/had a drug problem.

Alec
William
Stephen
Daniel

Rating games is lame, and useless regardless of who is doing the scoring or what the metric is. Maybe the least useless way would be to gauge a game first off on whether or not it's actually worth playing, then on whether it's worth a purchase or if it's just a rental. Anything more is self-indulgence by the person offering the "score".

I always thought Pierce Brosnan was sort of the perfect, epitomy of Bond, so I rank him up there with Sean. Plus, the awesomeness of golden-eye excuses that terrible one with Icarus -- uhh was it Die Another Day? I don't remember.

I was actually thinking about reviewing game's on my college blog'esc site since i do jack shit with it these days.

Rate them based of 80's movies events.

I knew there might be some controversy with ranking Craig above Brosnan...

I never really cared for him as Bond, but it's just my opinion.
