Default 360 hdd question

I was just curious as to whether or not the 360's HDD affected gameplay at all. To make a long story short I sold my 360 almost a year ago. Well while playing COD3 for my PS3 I really got the urge to play COD2 for the 360 which just so happens to be one of my all time favorite games and its a game that I still feel is one of the best the 360 has to offer. I have a chance to get a 360 Arcade brand new for 179.99 which does not come with the HDD(the memory card is included). Anyways im trying to decide if I should either save a little money and go with the arcade or go ahead and pay 259 for the 20 gig 360

If your going to play it online, a HDD is a must IMO so you can get the maps for COD2 and etc plus its nice to get demos and etc.

Offline it shouldnt be a big deal.

You can get a 20 gig HDD for about $35-40 shipped on ebay.

Also later this year you can get a 60 gig HDD, a headset, and a year of XBL for $99 which is a good price.

I'd definately recommend getting an Arcade unit if you can pick one up for $179.99. Then just go to gamedealdaily.com and buy a used 20gb HDD for like $40. Total cost then is $220 which is not bad at all

Same here...go with the arcade. The 20gb hard drives will fall even more when the 60gb comes out. When the new dashboard for the 360 comes out, and people will be putting their games on their hard drive, then you'll see a LOT of 20gb drives for sale so they can upgrade to the 60 or 120.

Well I went ahead a got a new 360. My arcade deal fell through so I just got anhother 20 gig. got it from amazon for 259 and got a new copy of COD2 for 8 bucks. I think the only other game that im going to rebuy besides COD2 is going to be GOW so I can get reaquanted with it before GOW2. Ive bought a 50'' Panny 800u since the last time I had a 360 so I cant wait to see COD2 and GOW on it. Now im going to see if I can find any good deal on the 360 wireless adapter so i can recover my GT.
