Default American McGee's GRIMM released today! It's free!

gametap.com/grimm

You can download the 1st episodic content of American McGee's GRIMM today. The premise is that each week, a troll, GRIMM, will go around and basically f*ck up a happy fairtale into it's true dark nature. The gameplay seems like a rip-off of Katimari Damacy (you walk around and turn small things "dark", then the more you do that, u can then turn bigger and bigger things dark). I'm at work and wanna play this so bad! I loved Alice, and think this game look nice n twisted (turning rivers into rivers of blood? SIGN ME UP!)

Anyone download it? What're your impressions? From what I understand it only takes like 30-60 minutes per episode to beat it, if that. But it's free and stylish and dark.

Well, you avoid great and interesting games then.

i got to try out the game last night and loved the art style and concept. however the experience was marred by the fact the game was running at like 15fps cuz my laptop isn't really built for gaming lol. Sucks too cuz i love the concept

Naw i mean his new stuff. My roommate worked on Alice, so I got to hear a lot of the dirt on American. He's a hack. He didn't actually do shit on Alice other then come up with the idea of "dark alice in wonderland" video game. His original version of Alice was more like doom but with Jack in the box weapons. Rogue ended up taking that idea and making the Alice game that everyone loved, all the while American was in LA attending parties and building up his celeb status.

Anyways past that point all he really does these days is toss out ideas for "evil gothic versions" of popular old stories

Alice, Oz, Grimm. There were a couple of other ideas that never got made as well.
