Default The next 5 weeks of XBLA

Posted up on the Gamerscore Blog, they revealed the next 5 weeks of XBLA goodness.

* July 30: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2
* August 6: Braid
* August 13: Bionic Commando Rearmed
* August 20: Galaga Legions
* August 27: Castle Crashers

Yes, ladies and gents, CASTLE FRAKKING CRASHERS!!!! I can't wait!

I guess they are kicking off the "Summer of Arcade" event where:
Quote:
During the Summer of Arcade event, anyone who plays even a trial version of these new titles is automatically entered to win one of five weekly 4,000 MS point prizes, as well as a grand prize of 100,000 points, and Xbox 360 Elite console, and a 12 month Gold subscription. Two second prize winners will walk away with 10,000 points and the Gold sub.
Sounds good to me.

xbla lacks "new" games. I can care less about re makes and re hashes. if i want to play umk3 ill pop in my old 16 bit sega system. or if i want to play soul calibur ill take the white sheet off the dreamcast.

I wanna see more brand new games and none of this ports. Look at echochrome, little big planet flow these are awesome games on the psn store.

you mean like
n+
or undertow
or penny arcade
or boom boom rocket
or catan (oh wait, you are going to take out your dusty board game)

i can keep going. these are the ones off the top of my head. xbl has at least 10x more "new games" with a bunch more coming. just because you/family dont "like" these types of games, does not mean that xbl is lacking in the department. hopefully psn catches up to xbl. i would love to use my ps3 other than a bluray/mgs player.

btw flow was a flash game that i can play on my computer, not exactly new stuff.

LBP is not a PSN game, btw. Need a shiny Blu-Ray disk for that one. There are lots of original games on XBLA. And with XNA Community Games coming in the fall, we're going to see 10x more original games on XBL then PSN.
