Default Has anyone tried 1942: Joint Strike (XBL or PSN)?

Has anyone tried 1942? Impressions? In particular, I want to know if this game is fun/worth it if you will only be playing 1 player. I used to love this style game back in the day.

Thanks.

thats what the review said, it brings back some memories, but it's really nothing your gonna play a lot of. It will be fun for about a week, then the repetitious game play will bore you. It was one of my favorites too..

Yep I tried it out (add me to XBL if you have one). It's just like the old game, except they've added in multiple difficulty levels, but the play is still the same. It's just like the old arcade shooter! I got both this and Timepilot as I really liked both.

Now if they can just get Gunslinger!

why not try the trial on 360? thats one of the best things about XBLA, every single game has a demo/trial. I am not sure if PS3 has a trial or not but if so, then you can try the demo version on either system.

I was really looking forward to this game because I was a huge fan of the original on NES, I got many sore thumbs from that game. With that said, I was a tad disapointed but I think I just had my hopes up too high. The graphics are decent and the game is fun. But will it still be fun after you've beat the game once? I'm not quite sure. After playing the trial I decided to hold off on buying the full version, I may buy it in the future if I have some extra MS points layin around.

You should have done the Target $10 off Coupon, plus the $5 off MS Points at Target trick.

I got over $100 worth of points for less then $30

It seems to have voice support, but I cant find much info on this game. Even on the official micro-site. How does two player work?

for the psn, could never find a game. if you love the game buy it. if you like it, buy it amongst friends on the ps3. that's the advantage of the ps3..game sharing. I personally think it's okay. Just upgraded with hd graphics and the gameplay is a bit better than the regular version but you could get bored of it easily.
