Default Any PS3 + PSP owners?

Ive been reading up on the PS3 and PSP connectivity and remote play. I think its cool, but nothing amazing to make me go run out and buy a PSP. But tell me what other things you can do with it when hooked up to the PS3. If I do get one, I would never take it on the road with me, it should mainly be for in the house with the PS3 and I would never play any games on it. Theyre cheap now, so I guess thats why its a bit tempting. But even at $170CDN, is it worth it just to have a super fancy dancy remote for your PS3?

Why would you never play games on it when there are so many good ones?

Nice to access your content remotely. My PSP is more of a multimedia unit than game machine.

I just bought a PSP yesterday. The Star Wars white PSP bundle and the Daxter Silver PSP bundle are currently priced at $149.99 across all the Blockbuster Video Stores in Ontario atleast. Not sure about Canada nationwide or the United States.

Its a good deal that i got the bundle for the $150 price. Regarding the stuff that it does with the PS3, i have yet to find out by myself as i will have to open my package which i haven't done yet.

I have both but never really connect the two. I use my PSP mainly for when I'm too lazy to turn on my PS3 and TV and want some quick grand theft auto or hot shots golf action.

Default more too it...

Most people overlook the ps3's real potential. Games, MP3, Internet, and with a decent sized memory card you can load movies onto it. I think it is one of the best deals for the price going around today. I got mine to play games after Hurricane Rita a couple of years back then it got new life when I got a 2gb memory card and had a trip to Tokyo. Now I can have access to every music file and video file on my PS3 from anywhere with wifi.

Get a 4GB memory stick, and it's a great movie player for plane flights. Or shove it full of music. The PS3 acess is useful, allows me to play music from my PS3 and DLNA server on my PSP anywhere around the house (or even anywhere around the world).

PixelJunk Monsters works really well on Remote Play, and gets alot of time, as do a couple of PS1 games..

I have both, and I must tell you that while PSP is great for games and has a bunch of great ones, the Remote Play thing doesn't work very well.

I mean, WHEN it connects, it's amazing and spectacular. But, when you're outside the house, it most of the time just fails to connect. I gave up on that feature a long time ago.

I don't really know why that is, either. I mean, Windows Remote Desktop Connect works reliably and perfectly, and it's basically the same idea.

Yeah Red got it right. The remote play seemed to work great when I first started using it. But since than I have trouble connecting. Plus I also had an issue with my PS3 starting up on its own when I have remote play turned on and my psp wasn't even turned on.
