Default Sanity check: Mass Effect: Andromeda

So. To those who gave it a real shot, AFTER all the patches and fixes, bottom line, ignoring how we got there and all the baggage:

How is it?

Again, try to ignore all the bad baggage (same way I managed ó YEARS later ó to ignore all the awful ME3 launch-time problems).

i liked it and say it's worth playing, especially due to how cheap it is.

best combat of the franchise.
story is fine, nowhere near ME1/ME2. ending was acceptable.
the worlds are a bit more open to explore using the nomad to drive around between outposts, planet scanning is a non-item.
didn't think the crew was as likable, a couple new races overall but lots of previous ones are gone.
i put about 60 hours into it total but went for 100% completion.

co-op horde mode is just as good as ME3, if you're into that

I was also thinking of giving ME:A another shot. I didn't care for ME3 until after all the patches and alternate ending, so maybe I will enjoy ME:A a little better. I am currently playing through KOTOR II, so after that I will probably give ME:A a try.

I'm concerned that Red's neighbor is posting on his computer.
We all know that RRS has a high standard of never playing a game below a certain MC score, and this game in particular is in the low 70s.

Can someone check in on him?

This is actually in my small stack of "next up" on backlog cleaning. As with most games in my backlog it's too long though -.- I have way too many 40+ hour games to work through right now.

I always look for an excuse to play something outside the 80+ range just to make sure itís still a useful cut-off. So far Iíve only regretted it, but every now and then I have to try. I bought Detroit (79) but havenít gotten into it much yet.

What does this sentence mean?
What have you regretted?

Exactly. I call BS on this being RRS. Everyone knows he uses perfect ethnic grammar.

I donít claim to have perfect grammar, but here was nothing wrong with grammar there.

So far Iíve only regretted attempts to ďbranch outĒ to less than well reviewed games when the genre interested me. Poorly reviewed games tend to be bad in my experience.

ME: A is the textbook definition of "fine". It's alright. It's not obscenely terrible, nor is it particularly compelling. It's dirt cheap on your wallet, but I'd argue there's far better ways to spend 100 hours of your life gaming wise in 2018.
