Default Konami's cutting AAA development?

Konami reportedly stops big-budget development on everything except PES

Meanwhile French site Gameblog mentions that worldwide technology director Julien Merceron has left the company over rumoured unhappiness at Konami's move toward mobile games.
Though Konami insisted months ago that it wants to pursue multi-platform development, Metal Gear Solid 5 composer Rika Muranaka has since tweeted about the report saying "Yes....it's pretty sad...now, I can't write music to any of AAA games..well, I need to find another AAA game company".

It's quite sad how Konami, Capcom, Sega and a few other Japanese developers have gone from producing legendary hits to just about nothing but garbage in the past 10 years. (Well, in the case of Sega, almost 15 years)

Sega has actually produced quite a few solid things. Their "mainstream" Sonic titles are all I can think of as crap. A lot of their other stuff is actually quite solid. Total War and whatnot. All really solid titles.

Any game that features paid loot boxes should be rated AO.

Eh, The Creative Assembly was making those long before Sega bought them.
They have tons of classic IP just sitting around with nothing having been done with them since the Sega Genesis.
