Default quick question about 360 hard drive transfer

I have a 20GB 360 drive and a new 120GB 360 drive, but no transfer cable or kit or anything.

What do I need to buy and where? Looking on Amazon confuses me. It seems like there's a bunch of 3rd party shit that doesn't seem safe.

You can apparently get a transfer kit from MS support (1-800-4MY-XBOX) even if you haven't bought a new console. I know a few people on other forums who have gotten it (free) that way although it apparently takes a long ass time.

How long? Like weeks? I'm in no rush, but I'm just curious.

It seems MS's site says that's how you can obtain it, as well.

I bought a 3rd party transfer kit on eBay when I bought the MW2 console and it did not work. Avoid those.

I just ended up using a memory card. A bit painful, but it worked..

I have a transfer kit I have lent out to a few forum peeps, I just ask that it be sent back. Soo if Microsoft stopped giving them out for free, let me know and I can send it to you for free.

OK, I'll look into it. If I hit you up, I'll pay for shipping.

Yeah the whole thing was a pain in the ass. They wanted me to print out and fill out a form and then mail it to them. I would have paid money for them if i could have just bought it online.
