The PS1 is in my top consoles of all time. Not too interested in the 20 games they have, but if you can flash this and add whatever you want (like the NES and SNES classics), I'll be in.

The code referencing the games being on the system isn't the same as the full game being on the system. It's possible they were just testing the games, but didn't get the licenses for them. So it seems at least some of the people involved in the development knew the offered titles were a bit meh, as the unused list of games contains many titles that people wanted/expected.

The article also points out that Sony stated they won't be offering new titles. Not sure how they'd add them anyway. A dongle?
