Since his movies suck, his documentary is bound to blow.

Eh. I just think Oliver Stone is a complete lunatic. Shia will be alright in Wall Street 2, but I just can't get behind Michael Douglas movies.

I see nothing wrong with this proposed series. Good for Mr. Stone for not giving in to the typical cut and dry, extreme black or white opinion now let's shout at each other approach to historical and social debate.

If he wants to discuss history in what seems like an "objective" (as without glazing things with morality, which is always subjective), then good for him. I look forward to seeing what he has to say.

It won't be objective. It will have his bias --- anyone that thinks otherwise is going to be disappointed IMO.

JFK is in my top 5 favorite films of all-time.

I like that Stone doesn't give a crap what people think about him and his beliefs. I find most people hate his movies because they contain his ideas and his views, but they are his movies.

I agree. Anyone who thinks these films suck probably has Will Ferrell as a favorite actor:

JFK
Born on the Fourth of July
W.
Any Given Sunday
The Doors
Natural Born Killers
World Trade Center
Wall Street
Platoon

Holy crap man, I'm as big an anti-American as they come, but his films are nothing short of marvelous. One of the most competant directors of his time.
