Default A Christmas Carol "2009"

Took my boy out to see Ice Age 3 today and saw a trailer of this in 3D. It looks pretty cool. The animation and PQ look amazing. Should be one to look forward to.

Saw the trailer as well when I went to see Public Enemies. Looks awesome and similar to Beowulf.

that won't be on Blu-ray until Fall 2010 so I'm probably going to go see it in theaters.

Yeah,

A Christmas Carol has been done a millon some times but I wouldn't quite put a (yawn) to this one. It kinda looks like Polar Express type animation only much much more advanced and the 3D just keeps getting better and better in theaters so it should be pretty fun. Its directed by Robert Zemeckis and has Jim Carrey voicing Scrooge.

Just have to wait til Nov 6th to find out......

Honestly, I thought they were going for an homage to Alastair Sim...

I think this looks pretty good. It's Robert Zemeckis' third pure-cg film(after The Polar Express and Beowulf), and it seems to me that he's really perfected it. Jim Carrey playing Scrooge as well as the 3 ghosts is a brilliant idea as well. Admittedly Beowulf wasn't great, but I liked The Polar Express. I'm pretty excited for this.

I took my brother out to see this movie on Friday and i thought it was brilliant. Not just about the 3D effects, i thought it would be just as good in 2D.

I liked the attention to detail in the story. It seemed to remain faithful to the original story with a few comedy moments inbetween.

This is a MUST own on Blu-Ray for me! I will be watching this on the run up to next Christmas without a doubt!
