Default "Day The Earth Stood Still" Being Mercilessly Panned!

guess this isn't that good after all.
some of the worst reviews I've seen of any film all year, and that's saying something.
I really thought this had a chance to be decent.
oh well.

It looks like a Roland Emmerich version of the film, which, from what I can tell, is a bad thing.

On a side note, I think Keanu Reeves is a good actor, even though he doesn't seem to stretch his skills to more diverse roles. I mean, the furthest he's ever been from his recent films is Bill and Ted's, but that was a long time ago.

My friend went last night to the midnight showing and he is one of those I love every movie kinda guys.. Well he said it was not worth even having a midnight showing and definitely not worth the $10 it cost him..

I dont really listen to peers or reviewers when it comes to cinema, I rather watch movies for entertainment and not to critique, but when my friend says something is not worth it, I tend to stay away until it comes to netflix..

ok so I have tried not to learn anything about the plot but on MSNBC they had a thing about Aliens that might have revealed a part of the plot. If this is the case I will be really disapointed in the movie.

Spoiler
They made statements that make me belive that the Aliens are comming to save us from Global Warming.

If that is the case I will be all kinds of pissed off at Hollywood in general.

an encouraging review but I bet you anything this movie completely blows.
I mean rottentomatoes is usually overly kind to movies in general after you factor in all reviews.
many horrible movies end up with 50% ratings because so many critics are ridiculously kind to the large number of current films that are in reality total crapfests.
So to see rating of 24% is SHOCKING to say the least.
that's one of the worst ratings I have EVER seen on there.

I saw it at a sneak preview thursday night. Terrible movie. Believe the reviewers. Found it on a par with 10,000 BC.
