Default How much will Dark Knight earn opening weekend???

I know it is still a bit ways off, but I was wondering if any of my fellow HDD brothers and sisters would like to take a guess on how much DK will earn on opening weekend?? I think it will make close to $250 million. Maybe even higher. Do you think DK will break some box office records??

$250 million in its opening weekend? That's a little high. $75-100 maybe, depending on what opens against it and what might still have legs from weeks earlier.

It will be very big. But I hardly go to the Theater anymore.

Sadly, a lot more people will see it because of Ledger's passing. Thinking of what happened to that poor kid makes me not want to see it, but I know I'll buy it on Blu.

i'd bet 85+ million. it will do some wonderful #'s, but what counts most is how well it holds up/how light the drop off is, in my eyes. 1st week counts for a huge % of total gross, but a 50+% drop off is a killer

I just think with the fan base Batman Begins has gathered and with the unfortunate but highly publicized death of Heath Ledger, this movie is going to do some crazy big numbers.

I'm going to go a bit higher and say in the 110 million range. My reasoning? Take a look at the lineup of movies being released this year, as it seems like slim pickings to me. I expect this one to be in the upper echelon in terms of a fiscal standpoint on the opening weekend.

85 million, the Batman Franchise isn't THAT huge. Also, a late July release isn't the ideal time to break weekends. But it's all good.
