Clooney has come a long way as an actor since Batman and Robin. To hold him to an early performance, and not take into consideration the Director...well, that's unfair.

Remember some $$$ people in Hollywodd will only put there money in if certain actor's are attached to the film.

If it takes Clooney being in this film, to make this film happen, then I would rather have him in it to see this movie made, than have a Hollywood $$$ man pass on making the film b/c he is not in it.

I could see Clooney in GI Joe. He is a very talented actor, and has the perfect voice for it, I think.

Not every freaking Joe can be 22 and hulked up. I'd like to see some of the Saving Private Ryan guys, personally, like Paul Giamatti, or Edward Burns, do another war flick, or action/war flick, like this.

Aye, with camp-meister Joel Schumacher directing, a hack-writer like Akiva Goldsman working on the script, and charisma-vacuum Chris O'Donnell co-starring, Batman & Robin stood no chance!

I don't see Clooney going for this, and would hate to see him do it, because he has a lot of credibility now. His name attached to a movie is usually a good sign, I'd hate to see that tossed out of the window in order to get a pay-cheque.

That said, John Cusack usually makes a good stab at alternating personal project with more commercial fare whilst keeping a good rep!
