I was actually fine with how long it kept it closed. I'm adamantly against over saturation. I don't like two year cycles in franchises. I like to feel what I'm watching was organically created out of a desire to entertain, instead of just funneling funds through a conveyor belt.

It's basically why I can't stand the Marvel films and the like. Every now and then, they win me over with a legit attempt, but I'm mostly just walking out of a theater with a heavy sigh.

As much as I hate the prequels, I still feel Lucas did a better job at being different, than Disney has done so far. We'll see how they fair overall.

    1-1 for me right now.

By the way, no issue with me, that you thought the
teaser trailer sucked. Not my point at all.

Here's another way to make your statement true:
"I am unsure about that teaser trailer. I'll wait
until other ones come out, to pass judgement."
No. I can pass judgment on a trailer because it's a marketing tool, thus, a separate product. So, I can use definite when describing my distaste for their output. I'm not casting judgment on the film. I'm judging how it's being sold. Two separate things. Either you get that, or you don't. So far, you don't.

    Try harder

Case in point, In Bruges. Terrible trailer. Fantastic film.

Damn, that is exactly how I feel about Star Wars, comic movies and a lot of hollywood and gaming in general, it just feels like assembly line "entertainment."

No one said that you CAN'T pass judgement on the
teaser trailer. It's your initial claim that you didn't
pass judgement, right after you just did. And it's
not fighting words to point that out.

"I'm not casting judgment ON THE FILM." Yes, we
know that. No one on Earth can cast judgement
on an non-existent film. So it is a meaningless
statement, when is true for everyone and offers no
distinction. So when you say in a bold manner,
that you haven't passed judgement, it would make
sense to apply that to what exists. And that is the
    teaser trailer.

Perhaps, I can ask you to try harder.

Tw: "It sucks and I didn't pass judgement."

Ti: "Hey, I think you passed judgement."

Tw: "You wanna fight with the king?"

    Ti: "Huh?"

Tw: "It sucks and I didn't pass judgement (on the film)."

Ti: "Oh, okay. I and 7 billion didn't pass judgement on
the film, too. Sorry to misunderstand you."

It's not my fault that you can't tell a difference between a trailer and a film.

I'm seeing this thread for the first time and it has been slightly entertaining but going to have to "pass judgment" and side with twonun. Technically though, Tim is right, you worded it incorrectly but I'm able to comprehend that you meant you're not going to judge the film based on what you thought was a trailer that sucked. All any of us can do before a movie comes out is pass judgment on it based off of a trailer. We all do it, we probably shouldn't but we do. I am extremely guilty of watching a trailer and saying to myself, man that trailer was awesome, this movie is going to be awesome. Worst judgment I've ever made in the history of prejudging movies based off of trailers was Prometheus.

Yah I thought the trailer was OK.

Nice editting to make it look like Kylo kills his mom. Will be interesting to see if he actually does it or someone else.

Luke looks like he has been emasculated and afraid. Give me a fucking break- I hope I am wrong. I hope they show Luke kicking ass, he's a fucking Jedi Master for peet's sake. If I see a draw-losing battle like Yoda and the Emporer I will be pissed.

They also better not mimic shit from the previous movies like they did with Force Awakens.

So demanding lol, it'll be what it'll be. I actually got tickets for the 3:45 2D IMAX showing on Friday, back row center. Just when I thought couldn't tolerate going to the movies anymore, they put in recliners and reserved seating. Damn you Cinemark!
