The producers got mad and defensive when people said they were just re-making these for the money but they never did give another reason.
Let'em make their own damned bird movie and call it something else.
The concept really hasn't been exploited much that i can remember .
Sci-fi channel made Kaw,a decent bird movie and Resident Evil had a good zombie bird sequence.
Something really good could be done with a big budget.

Let's hope whatever would have been spent making those films will be used to make something that will be good. Nobody expected those remakes to be anything but an unnecessary big waste of money. This is the best news about an upcoming film I have heard all week. Let's also hope Rob Zombie doesn't remake either film.

i did like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and i pretty much feel exactly as the review by E here does, but the sequel was worse than horrible, and continued to prove that Bay is only all about the dolla dolla bill y'all.

Why not remake these though? Why is it OK to remake certain films and not others? I never understood the formula. Sometimes a remake is announced and its a big circle-jerk in the film community. Even reboots get applauded when there is NO reason to do so. Im still pissed that they are gonna reboot Superman. Those rat fockers.

So.... just because its Hitchcock doesnt mean the films couldnt be remade for modern audiences. Great stories are great stories and if the remake is done right, whats wrong with new audiences getting to enjoy the films in more modern settings with good effects, better acting, and modern production values?

Edumacate me.
