Default Xbox 360 Elite Review

Hi,
I was just wondering if you guys could do a review on the Xbox 360 Elite, and test out the video and audio from the HDMI port.

IMO it is no different from the original 360. I suspect the only noticeable difference will be with the HD-DVD add-on which I don't have. Sorry guys, unless you just wanted HDMI and a black console to match your components, there is no noticeable difference.

P.s. I'm using this on a 60" Sony SXRD XBR2 (where I should see a difference).

Although, I would like to see what the pro's think!

It would be good if you could find out the difference between the DTS [email protected] and the DD [email protected] When I use Dolby TrueHD and have DTS, it sound quieter, and seems to have less fidelity than the DD track. However, when I use a DD+, the DTS option sounds better, so finding out if the TrueHD scaler is broken or something.

Like I said...no difference. Hopefully there will be once games are coded natively 1080p because it didn't even help GoW.

I am curious about the HD-DVD side of things though.

Yea, I have the add-on and that's why I want to know. With the new HD DVD update, it has gotten way to confusing using the Dolby TrueHD track, and whether the DD or DTS option sounds better. In my trials of Troy and Batman Begins, the DD track had more fidelity and more woofer action than the DTS track, which sounded flat, and had little dynamic range. (Note: The dynamic range control has been turned OFF for all of my tests)
