Default CES 2009 Forum ?

Are you guys planning to open up a forum for CES 2009 soon? I hope the answer is yes - and I noticed you put the 07 and 08 CES Forums into the Archived Forum.

I like that - good job. Hopefully, it won't be long before other
outdated, obsolete forums end up their as well.

they won't be opening a forum for that.
they stopped doing that last year.
the reason: none has ever been given.

We're hoping to have some good coverage from the event next week and will set up an area for people to discuss news there. More news next week.

Good to hear, those sub-forums have always been enjoyable and convenient for finding information strictly relevant to the particular event.

This coverage that he is talking about is going to be coming from me. I am attending the
show this year and I will be sending pics and product information to Mr. Attebery and
his staff. I have never done this before but I will do my best to give you guys a look at the
coolest HD oriented stuff at the show.

There has been a lot of pre-show preview stuff popping up at sites like Engadget. It looks
like LG, JVC and Samsung are going to have some real thin and/or light HDTVs on display. I
will make sure to get the scoop on those for y'all.

When the CES 2009 thread opens, I will open a thread that you guys can use to communicate
with me while I am in Vegas.

Wish me luck!

Why are the mods waiting so long to open up a sub-forum or thread? CES is kind of a big deal...

A forum takes a bit of work to get open and the mods only provide guidance to the staff as to where and what a forum should look like. Many things need to be taken into account like links etc for when it closes and gets archived etc. They are the ones that accually do it. We have already went through all of the preliminary steps so a forum should be opening very soon. Within a day or two now would be my guess.

edit..... AV made it happen.... post away guys !
