Lightbulb Video reviews

I do not know if this has ever been discussed or even thought of before but I think it would be cool to have video reviews on here. By this, I mean take reviewers such as Peter, Kenneth, or just anyone else that has time, which I do not believe the two of them have, and let them point out different thing in a video review. For example if there is grain in the film they can point it out on screen, show you how to get to the easter eggs, show you different special features , and other things like that. Basically the same thing done on written review, but done as a visual aid, or a hands-on review, if you prefer.

I'm not saying do every single release, but the bigger, most popular one like the up coming Die Hard set, the Ocean's set, the Harry potter set, Shrek the Third, Shoot 'Em Up, and all the other big titles. I think it would be a cool feature for the site.

I use GameSpot for my game reviews and they have video reviews on the bigger name games and it's nice to see a hands-on review as opposed to a written one it's able to give you more depth to the review. I just thought it would be a good idea to bring up.

Oh and let me not forget a Sunshine video review.

Not a bad idea at all. You're right that we don't currently have the resources, but it's something I would love to explore down the line. Thanks for the feedback!

No problem.

Well if I had the time and money, not to mention the smarts to do it, I would offer but I, well I do have the time, but not the money to buy all the movies, and I don't really get all the "ratio" and other stuff. I would say "yup it has some grain here, but other wise the picture is ok." Now if some wrote the review I could go from that. I just may disagree whith the "The Movie Itself" but everyone has different tast in movies so there. I may oneday do that though just make video reviews and post it on youtube I think it would be cool.

Its also the bandwidth (I think) that it would take to host the reviews that would be the issue. While I think it is a good idea, the bandwidth, time, and extra eq it would take probably aren't feasible atm. BTW this was jsut a guess and in no way is the official statement from the site .
