Default The Search Function

Can we have that restriction that you can't include search terms with less than 4 characters lifted? It's really annoying not being able to include terms like "Fox" or "hd dvd" in a search. If I want to search for something like "HD DVD average PQ," or "Fox delay," I can't do it because including "Fox" is not allowed. It's really annoying trying to use Google to search the site because Google only finds pages, not posts, so it will return a page that contains all those words--"Fox" can be in one post, "delay" in another.

You always have the option of quoting a search term (in any google search). E.g "Fox Delays" instead of just Fox Delays.

I forgot about quotes. It's still a pain in the butt to go use Google, though. Different site more syntax, and I still can't search by username there.

I agree 4 letter thing is dumb. Fox, HD, Blu, ray, etc

+1 for getting rid of the limit.

I've found it frustrating in the past when searching for things that should bring back relevant results.

I've reduced the limit to 2 characters, however I believe the indexing actually happens when a post goes up, so at first searches on words like "Fox" will yield no results. Over time, however, as new posts go up, I think these terms will now be indexed... in the immediate short term, the Google Search box at the top of the page is your best solution.
