Default New Editor Window Issue/New Look

Not liking the new editor we just got dropped on us.

MOST of the buttons are blank - if I mouse over them though I see their function in the pop-up note.
Also no wordwrap.

Using Firefox 36.0

See attachment for what I see (If I can find the paperclip button!) :

Okay, never mind, can't add a picture, the manage attachments window brings up a new window and it's a dark grey box with nothing in it.
No adblockers are in use either so that's not why I can't see the buttons or attachments options...

I had the same issue but when I just logged in I got the full redesign and now everything works well.

Also, will there be a contrast or skin update? Now, the pinned messages, new messages etc are all a blur.

I miss the little notification we used to have at the top of the forum that told us when the last time we logged in was. Is that something that can be brought back?

Default new editor 'link' function broken

This new update seems to had messed up the 'link' function on the editor. It doesn't give you a chance to type what the link was, like it did before the update. It only lets you put in the address. So you have to manually type out what you want the link to say, for example 'Stalingrad blu-ray - amazon.de' and then highlight that text with the left mouse button, before copying and pasting the URL into the 'link' function. Although I easily figured it out, there probably are a lot of people that aren't going to know to do that. Please change that 'Link' function back, if possible.

Work around I have noticed already:

PHP Code:
[URL="http://forums.highdefdigest.com/feedback/140170-new-editor-link-function-broken.html#post2530996"]http://forums.highdefdigest.com/feedback/140170-new-editor-link-function-broken.html#post2530996[/URL]
Looking at the above link, the part in "quotes" is the actual link, so the part between the ] and the [ / URL] is where you type in the name of the link like you did before. Apparently the new software is not highlighting that portion for your convenience.

See below example:

PHP Code:
[URL="http://forums.highdefdigest.com/feedback/140170-new-editor-link-function-broken.html#post2530996"]Place Where I want to label the link[/URL

And once again below, the 2nd example without the PHP code wrapper.

Place Where I want to label the link

^^^ and since your issue also pertains to the new editor and new look, I have merged the threads.

Guys,

It looks like you're talking about the new mobile skin?

Please give me more info:

-Device type
-Browser type and version
-specific issues you are seeing
-screen shots if possible

Thank you,

Paul

The new mobile version of the site is not displaying paragraph breaks in the Blu-ray reviews. All the text runs together in a big block.

- Motorola Droid Turbo with Android 4.4.4 (KitKat)
- Chrome browser 41.0.2272.96
