Default Hot Releases

Who decides to add the "Hot" tag beside certain movie reviews? What is this based on? The obvious ones I understand, course, but I've seen some obscure movies with it that are probably not anywhere close to being in the Amazon top 100. Seems like a favoritism thing or some reviewers trying to push a false perception about movies they only like.

The site editor makes that determination, not the reviewers themselves.

I wield the power of HOT with subjective glee.

Attebery, mighty Attebery! Bearer of the one Ring of "HOT" power...

Shame! Shame! Shame on you! Giving Smurfs 2 a "HOT" designation.
Power has corrupted you. Down with your reign! The peoples of HDD
Land will band together and cast you from your throne.

Let's begin forming an angry mob in front of Attebery's gates. I'll even get Brick Ransom to join us.

As I currently look at the home page...
...60% of the 25 reviews are label: "Hot!"

Mike, 60% of releases cannot be above average, much less HOT! HOT!! HOT!!!
