Default W3C validation errors

Hi everyone.

I'll try to keep it short.

I'd like to point you to some validation errors I've found on your site (I was comparing the performance of my own website with several others. My own is, unsurprisingly, plagued with faulty Google automation code)

Here's the report for the board index:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0

and that's the one for the main site:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...alidator%2F1.3

The board looks "OKish" but the main site seems to suffer from some peculiar flaws.

Many of those occuring errors could be fixed in mere seconds, which should lead to a considerable speedup [it's been some time since I last handcoded in HTML. But stuff like "Character Encoding Mismatch" sounds like it could lead to some trouble (incorrectly rendered pages or even massive delays due to page redraws)].

Anyways. I hope this is not taken the wrong way (god knows I'm not without fault myself. I couldn't code my way out of an OOP environment if my life depended on it). Just thought it was worth pointing out so someone might be able to fix this.
