Been a while since we've had one of these, and it's time the users decide on another upcoming HDD review!

Please note, you are allowed to vote for MULTIPLE titles, not just one. Like Highlander, there can only be one (winner), but why not throw your hat in on numerous titles to give them support?!?

The theme of this contest? IMPORTS, none of which have been in previous votes. The nominees?

Andrei Rublev (Russian)
Chapter 27 (Japanese)
Johnny Mnemonic (Japanese)
Robots (German)
Thirst (Korean)
Chicken Run (French)
Piano 17 (French)
Until Death (English/UK)
The Break-Up (French)
House of the Dead (Canadian)

Also, since I want to give everyone a little more incentive to vote, one voter (at random, doesn't matter what title(s) voted for) will get a free brand new and sealed blu-ray from my collection. will reveal title once it's in my hands, as it's currently in transit to me. Not bad, eh? You get to decide what title gets a review at HDD, AND you can win free swag.

and voting is now live. remember, you can vote for multiple titles, including all of them (which really does nothing towards the decision).

Yes...

I had to log in from the bathtub to vote on this one, and yes it's steamy in here.

Anyway, when in doubt, go with Keanu Reeves. But in order to properly screw Nate, 'My Own Private Idaho', would be more fitting. But, hell, Johnny Mnemonic will do just fine'sss. Vaya con Dios, brah.

Jack, My Own Private Idaho would be a fun review, but sadly no Blu-ray. It's an interesting film, regardless of the fact that it portrays a lifestyle different than my own. Haven't seen much of a push from Criterion on Gus Van Sant lately, and that may be his only film in the Collection, so I doubt we'll see it anytime soon. Thanks for voting, Jackie boy!

Indeed, Idaho is quite the unique picture. With riveting performances. Like you, although I felt no connection with the intended audience, the picture tends to linger. Not as if to say what if, but how. What a waste for River Phoenix to go so young, he had the capability to show us many things.

Not meaning to be offensive with the previous post, and if I displayed such caveman ideals, I apologize. The analogy served its purpose in theory, but did fail in method. As my goal is always to make Nate review the worst film possible. And no prob bro. I vote, therefore I am. Got to hit the gym.
