Angry So I sent my BD-UP5000 to service last week...

And what I got back today... was a Samsung portable dvd player. WTF?

After half an hour on the phone they're supposed to be sending me an email with a shipping label to send this thing back. That was a few hours ago. I'm supposed to call back if I haven't received it by Monday. Apparently the service center is aware of the situation and is "very apologetic."

Hopefully this won't turn into a customer service nightmare.
Just had to vent.

I won't say their customer service is fantastic, but I'm sure they'll do the right thing. Were you expecting a repaired 5K back? I recently received a brand new 2500 as a replacement to a semi-broken 5K I bought at CC.

Got mine from CC, too. Right at the end. I was hoping to get it fixed. Outward appearance-wise it was in perfect shape, it just didn't play ANYTHING. But being that it was complete and under warranty I took a shot. Granted if it had gotten replaced it'd be a win also. The 2500 is definitely gonna be smoother operating and more advanced on the blu ray side.

It was funny the guy from the American side of their resolution center asked me... "Did they say anything about a replacement?" to which I said "No, but if they were going to replace it, I'd imagine they'd send something that played high def discs and wasn't portable." He laughed.

I'm getting a lil worried now, no shipping label from them yet.

FINALLY came back today. It looked great before, but they really shined this thing up. It looks like I bought it brand new yesterday. They even peeled off and cleaned where the store display sticker was. So far, no problems, working like a champ on everything I've thrown at it.
