Default LG super blu for $499

I just came back from my local bestbuy and they have a LG super blu for $499 because its an open item. It has nothin wrong and nothin missing. I already have an HD-A2 but want some movies that are blueray exclusive. Should I get it? Any advice or personal experience on this player. Thanks

Which model, the original BH100 or the brand new BH200? To me, that would make all the difference. If it's the 100, I wouldn't even buy it for $100. Now if it's the 200, it might be worth considering, although I'd still prefer to have the Samsung when that comes out.

Just get a 40gb PS3 if you're going to get all the Blu-ray goodies, it's cheaper and will work 100x better, plus it comes with free movies, the ability to play games, view high-res pictures, listen to mp3s, surf the web, and a bunch of other stuff.

With the LG you can order 5 BD's and 5 HD-DVDs...

it's only worth it if you don't care about HDi. Honestly, I'd only buy it for $200 or less.

What all are the issues with the BH100?

Does it:

1. play HD DVD and BD properly (movies and sound only, don't care about extras and interactivity)

2. upscale DVDs well

Thanks

399 ps3 has no memory card slots and 2 usb slots... so unless ur pics are on a cd or a usb drive, that's a no go. the games suck and the web browser sucks... I can't wait for a good bd player to come out so i can sell my ps3. the bh200 looks like the best deal if it drops in price, full 1080p, hdi and bd-j... then u can get another hdtv for your hd-a2

Stay Away from this piece of shit.......... It's not worth it. I could care less about HDi or whatever, I'm only interested in the movie, played great until Fox's movies came out when it didn't play them at all, seems they needed to do a firmware update, 6 weeks later, i still don't have it, you can download it from the website, which for some reason my computer won't do it, so now i have to wait two more weeks to get this update. Customer service is awful, the worst I have ever had. I will never buy anything from LG. They suck, their customer service people suck and their products suck. Do your self a favor, buy anything but this tub of crap.......

My BestBuy had an open box BH100 for $999.99....

I wanted to walk up to someone and say, "Do you realize this open box is $200 more than a new one?"
