Default LG's 2nd GEN Super Multi Drives Announced

LG has announced 2 new computer drives that read both formats. One writes to BD the other just writes to DVD but reads both HD formats.

This really is starting to asure me that my money spend on HD DVDs is not being "wasted" as some BD fanboy's say. In the future almost every drive released will read both formats starting with computer drives and then more and more standalone players.

Here's a link to some info on the new drives.

Awesome. When the price of these things hits 200ish dollars I will probably go neutral if the war shows no signs of ceasing. These drives are only going to get cheaper and it truly shows that neither of these formats is going to ever be truly obsolete.

Not a hardware issue. Playback will be based on what software you have installed on your computer.
