Default Sony Booth Tour – CES 2011

First up this year is Sony, with plenty of 3D to show off and a wide array of cool new TVs to boot. Blu-ray players aren’t exactly a focus for this year’s show, but there’s one prototype that managed to catch everybody’s eyes.

Photos will be up soon on The Bonus View.

If you've got questions or want more information on something at the show let me know. I'll do my best to get to it all, but it's a busy weekend!

I didn't see anything new being shown off as far as glasses are concerned. I know XpanD has a few glasses that are universally compatible though, so that might be worth a shot.

If Sony had any new projectors at the show, they didn't exactly go around drawing attention to them. I did a quick walk through the Sony booth to double check today and didn't see anything.

There weren't too many projector announcements at this show - might be more of a CEDIA thing.

Thanks for the hands-on look at the Bloggie 3D. I am VERY excited about this. This is a price range that is VERY attractive! Any word on the 3D handicams - most importantly, the price? While the Bloggie sounds great, a handicam with optical zoom lenses would be perferable!

I'm still not sure what my plan is for 3D, but I'm thinking the Bloggie is something I'm going to need to pick up if I take my PC 3D. (though the Radeon 3D solution seems far less than ideal)

Sony's 3D Handicam with that nice zoom and Full HD 3D video will cost around $1,500 when it comes out in April. Way cooler than the Bloggie, but is it $1,250 cooler?

I like the nVidia 3D solution myself. Then again, I am just an nVidia fanboy. I saw the nVidia solution demoed a couple of years ago, before the 3D tvs came out, on a huge 70 inch screen at Fry's, and I was blown away.

I really dig the nVidia version too, but I'm on Radeon cards
