Question CES2010 - Where are . . .

CES2010 was going to be The 3D Show and that is exactly what happened. Then again, that whole family of products was being introduced - like the creation of another format - which technically it is. SDTV, HDTV and now 3DTV.

Things that I thought would be at the show and weren't:

OLED - what happened to this technology? As far as I could see (from announcements and PR's) there were:

15" OLED from LG
15" 3D OLED from Samsung
24.5" 3D OLED prototype from Sony

Managed Copy for BD . . . . *crickets* . . . yet 2010 is the kick off year

HD STB's/HD DVR's for cable customers - were there any? I saw no announcements at all

3D BD - a whopping 3 titles were officially announced (not including Avatar) and Disney's one title won't be available until late Q4 and it was a B title not an A title

HDMI 1.4 receivers - one from Onkyo and one from Sherwood

Ethernet Over HDMI - big selling feature of HDMI 1.4 - any announced products?

BD players from 2nd tier CEMs - ??????

What about MOD Systems and their SD card kiosks? Were they at CES?

64 GB SD cards - anything?

SAL BD recorders - nothing

3D 1080P FPTV - 1 ($10K)

The lack of 3D BD only reveals how much of a nonstarter the CEMs consider it to be.
