Smile Ces 2010

It's almost here gang. I didn't go last year, however, I will be back in the house this upcoming show. Can't wait. I'm just curious. Are any of you excited about going? What new technologies are you blu-ray, hd-dvd, and game fans most looking forward to at next years upcoming show? It takes me at least an entire day to get around the dog on show. That's not including the keynote addresses by the big CEOs spread out through Las Vegas. If you've ever been to the CES show at all, then I must say that the place enormous, meaning the Las Vegas Convention Center. Thank God for the new shuttle along side the Convention Center. I just can't wait. So, let us all know what are you all most looking forward to please. Take care everyone.

Be honest. You're really there for that "other" convention. The big one going on at the same time.

LOL. Good call Htown-D. Nahh....I know which one you're talking about. In fact, I got my CES pass in the mail today as I just saw your message. I have never been to that convention in my life. I heard it is a hefty price to get in there as well. CES here I come.

Although I live in Vegas I've never been to CES or the "other" convention although I've bartended some parties involved with the "other" convention that were quite interesting, but that's a whole different story I probably shouldn't get into.

I'm most curious to see what 3D products are displayed this year, at CES that is. The excitement of new Blu-ray products has worn off and I'm not really interested in any download options so that pretty much just leaves 3D, OLED, and other new TV tech, I'm kind of missing the normal pre-CES excitement now that I think about it.

I hear you vooswing. Well, I have some hidden agendas as well when I'm there as well every year. I'm a huge blackjack player. I mean, every day player in fact and my brother was in the Air Force there. So, I was there a great deal. Speaking of new technology and the topic at hand. I am too interested in the OLED technology. In fact, I'm about to purchase the Cowon S9. Huge fan of music and this puppy gets great reviews all the way around. It's screen is similar to the new Zune HD. I've played with both and the interfaces were great. Most importantly, Cowon really puts a great deal of stress on the audio crisp sound and the quality of the video on the players itself. They are both great OLED players, but I get the same capacity at 32Gb on the S9 versus the Zune HD 32GB at a lesser price. I am buying a new point-and-shoot as well just for the show and will displaying them for all of you. I've been to the show six years in a row and I will be walking the floors and updating you all with illustrations to boot. How is Vegas vooswing, other than being the foreclosure capital in the US with us here in California and Michigan? I heard the crowds are especially there still for the locals as they call you all. Plan on visiting a specific casino as well. I heard the blackjack at a specific casino I'm talking about is great for card counters. Peace....

Oh, my bad. Here is the Cowon S9:

Let me know what you think about it? It's good to know some people in here are looking forward to certain technologies.

Default AMD in partnership with Cyberlink for 3D Technology at CES 2010

Oh boy, here is my update gang. I will cover a great deal at the show while I'm there. I will have my laptop with me and will update you as much as possible with illustrations and stories on things such as new display technology, the much anticipated 3D advances, networking, computer and console based games, car innovations, and keynote addresses. Most of this stuff you will see. However, whenever I go and have taken pictures I made sure most fans get all angles as best I can. Please be patient. Let me know if there are any pictures of any technologies you all want to see and I will do my best to right them down and have it for you with pictures and stories. My most anticipated technology is bluetooth/wi-fi being built into LCD's, LED's, and OLED's. That's going to be nice to be able to stream much of your media at home throughout the house wirelessly. Yes, there was prototype of a display available at Blu-Con this past month. Man, I have to attend Blu-Con because it's right here in Southern California. Anyway, let me know what you want to see you all and give me some feedback please. I anticipate taking about 300-450 photos. Peace. Darn...Here's one of the new technologies. Interesting though. I wonder if Intel has something up their sleeves when this is all said and done. Maybe AMD is on to something here. You all like the girl or the glasses? LOL....

You know I will be at CES and AVN and will post pics as I have done for the past few years. It's always a great time in Vegas during that week.

Cool moepain4u. I wish we could meet up and just shoot the breeze or something. Now, I just came home and received the Preshow Planner for CES from CEA. Okay you all. I'm finally looking at this map and it usually takes me one full day to see almost everything. However, there are some things that are less important to a certain audience. First, I haven't decided if I'm going to be hitting the Hilton or not because this location is for a great deal of Keynote Addresses and such. My first stop will be in the North Hall/TechZone. It is consumed with Gaming and In-Vehicle Technology. Secondly, I will go right on over to the Central Hall where Home Theater/Video and Audio is the theme. Third, here comes the massive South Hall. The South Hall are two floors and this is where the working out I do come in. The South Hall has digital imaging, emerging technologies, home networking/systems, and wireless. I'm really interested in seeing up and close the wireless HDMI technology and streaming. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new 4G technology. I saw on KTLA Channel 5 news last knight Kirk the Cyber-Guy test this new network in Chicago. Chicago right now is the only place in America(from his story) that is supplying the new 4G network. He was in a cab using it around town and he said updating facebook couldn't be any faster.

Lastly, the next phase of the South Hall. Man, this damn building is massive when I went two years ago. Can't wait. And we know what other convention is there as well. Shhh....Let's be quiet about that one. :-#. Some of the things I will focus a great deal of attention on is asking the likes of Toshiba, Samsung, Vizio, Sony, Phillips, and the other heavyweights their emerging technologies and I will post as soon as possible with illustrations to go along with the stories. Give me a couple of days you all because there will be plenty of pictures from the show. I'm also interested in asking the cable operators about HTPCs(Home Theatre PC) advances. I know many people are now former customers of the likes of Dish Network, DirectTV, and regular cable operators. Many former subscribers are now going to over-the-air tuner cards and getting their weekly favorite network show fixes from the likes of Hulu, tv.com, joost, and other internet telivision based websites. Well, until then gang. Have a great holliday and may God bless you all with a safe and happy New Year.
