I know HD DVD fans must be pissed for dropping their money on a paper weight. I can't help you with your anger though, you'll have to go seek professional help okay.

I hope these movies dont look like Superman Returns on Blu Ray. Dont feel bad about having Batman Returns either because Blu Ray would do it no justice. Notice it was the HD DVD version of Superman that won the award. I know you want Blu Ray to win so bad, but at this point with the studio support it should have crushed Hd Dvd by now.

Unparalleled? In comparison to what? A dozen blu-ray exclusives (I live in North America and am limited by region codes) in response to HD-DVDs announcement of over 300 titles is hardly "UNPARALLELED." Maybe they mean unparalleled compared to the weak offering BV made previously?

There are dozens of movies that don't star Johnny Depp that I would rather own in high def. If I want to see pirates in HD I personally would more likely get the cheesy porn available on HD-DVD.

As for HD-DVDs days being numbered, they project $600 million in profits without pirates. Of course they don't have the high overhead BD does. I guess that's really going to kill them.

Default Dreamworks

I would pass on Disney Pixar to get Dreamworks. Gladiator, Shrek, Sharktale, Over the Hedge. Disney will see light and make the right choice. Lionsgate has already opened the door with LIVE Downloads.

Easy on the cheeba. Sharktale sucked a smelly goat sack. I gave it an 'A' for agenda though. I do like Shrek, Over the Hedge, and Gladiatior though--good thing that Dreamworks is owned by Viacom, who also owns Paramount, and most likely will be on both formats. So, if you just go BD, you can have all those movies you listed AND Disney's blockbusters.

Furthermore Lionsgate hasn't opened anything, see the other thread in regards to Lionsgate and their 2007 announcement for Blu-ray,...exclusively.
