I don't think so...
What you have on your HD Tivo is edited and compressed.

You're going to waste the space on your HD TiVo *JUST* to hold on to ST:TOS episodes? Come on, nobody realistically stores entire seasons of a TV show on their TiVo, that *IS* what DVD/BD/HDDVD is for. Sheesh. (Granted, the phaser remote isn't going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back for anyone, it's just the confectionary sprinkles ON TOP of the frosting on the cake, or the snowflake in the blizzard)

I imagine Arkadin's reading skills are comparable to yours & mine.

I'm thinking more along the lines of 'If you build it, they will come" - the number of folks who buy the series AND a new player will be what? A few thousand? If there's demand for the remote, they'll offer it for purchase with the series. I'm hoping perhaps they will offer to select retailers - such as Amazon, for example - as a 'bundle' with the series only, for an add'l. fee.

If you look at my system (yeah it's that link in my sig that says monoplex) you'll see that I'm a bit extreme (yeah I guess that means I fall under the category of nobody:-)

I do happen to store entire seasons or in some cases at least half or third of a season on my upgraded HD TiVo and the stuff I don't put there I keep on my Mac Mini.

Yay cheap HD Storage...

The editing sucks but the issue for me is that I've watched ST TOS so many times that I'm not in a big hurry so the TiVo versions are fine for now. If the set cost $50-$100 I'd probably buy it.
