Bonecrusher will still be crying about Paramount in 2017.
I'd consider going format neutral after Warner once I mustered the money. I wouldn't even ditch the Blu Ray player, because Paramount teaches a lesson. You never know, when something happens, and suddenly something does a 180 degree turnaround (not that it's happened yet, but if Warner were to go exclusive to HD-DVD, that would complete the 180 turnaround)

Why? Mattel are an American toy company. Are you wanting us to buy you more toys to throw out of your pram?

Arent all of our BD and HD DVD players made there, anyway? Along with 99% of everything we buy.

Warner JUST put out a press release saying "We're doing super well because we're neutral! Neutrality is the way to go!"

They will NOT go exclusive at least until sometime in 2008, but even doing it anytime in the next year would seem somewhat odd given their press released. I'd be surprised if Warner went until one format was clearly dominating.

Warner put out a press release like 3 weeks ago. Things have changed.
Warner owns a part of the patent on HD DVD technology. Plus their past is very clear where they stand. It would not be a big surprise if they went exclusive.

why be neutral when you can gang up on the other guy and put an end to this quicker, and the quicker they do that, the more people will invest into high def

Yeah, plus warner would benefit from an hd dvd victory greater than being neutral.
