Default Quatermass coming soon to Blu-ray?

The Grandaddy of UK Sci Fi TV shows such as Torchwood and Dr Who is undoubtedly the classic BBC serial from the 1950s - Quatermass. Indeed, there are recurrent nods in both shows to their illustrious predecessor...
Unfortunately while some of the first episodes of the Quatermass Experiment (just like Dr Who) have been lost or destroyed by the BBC, the two other shows are still available in their entirety. However, such are their age and condition, a Hi Def release would probably not do them a great deal of justice.

However, Hammer Films made their own version of each of the classic Quatermass TV shows as follows:
The Quatermass Xperiment (slight change of title to highlight the film's certificate)
Quatermass 2
Quatermass and The Pit
All are great films in their own right and were big hits at the Box Office for Hammer. I own all three on DVD and the transfers in all cases are very good, indeed. For the uninitiated, all three are cracking Sci Fi yarns and are worth the time of any fan of the genre.
All would look great in Hi Def and I would pick all three up as Day One purchases should they become available. Tantalisingly, as of 2008, the Quatermass Xperiment HAS BEEN RESTORED FOR A HI DEF RELEASE - courtesy of Deluxe Digital, The BFI, and MGM:

"On May 9, I watched part of the playback. The movie never looked better, with a rich B&W image and crisp audio. The detail in HD was remarkable. The film's matte shots still looked good. The new transfer gives us a much better look at Richard Wordsworth's final form, a combination animal-vegetable octopus-amoeba, trapped atop a scaffold in Westminster Abbey."

Someone please get this onto asap...
