Default The Shout (1976)

Very simply one of the most eerie films that I have ever seen, Jerzy Skolimowski's tale of sorcery is absolutely crying out for a Hi Def release and it would be great to see it get the treatment....

John Hurt and Susannah York play a not so happily married couple whose lives are turned upside down by the arrival of a mysterious stranger (played by a menacing Alan Bates). Bates turns out to be a practitioner of Aborigine sorcery which he deploys against both Hurt and York. However, the most formidable weapon within his arsenal is his shout which can kill anything for miles around and when utilised is genuinely scary.

I will buy this from whoever puts it out on Hi Def, irrespective of territory.
