Default DVD+R and my PS3, what the problem is?

is there a compatability issue? i've tried both 4.7GB Verbatim and 8.5GB Memorex disks, and they both won't work. They will however play on an XBOX. please help.

i've never once had a problem with any DVD-R in my ps3. i've copied dvds, made data disc dvds, on several different brands and they all worked flawlessly.

Check to see if you can turn on "bitsetting" in your DVD burning software. If the drive supports it, bitsetting DVD+R to the DVD-ROM "book type" usually makes DVD+R about as compatible as DVD-R.

Of course if you have no idea what I'm talking about, go find some good DVD-Rs (Verbatim is good, Memorex is utter garbage-- stay away) and enjoy.
