The only game I've seen that allows multiple login is LittleBigPlanet. It's not something that is supported at the system level.

Yeah I noticed that on LBP. Somehow it is supposed to work with TW but I cant figure it out and the TW support forum has been no help.

dual psn logins were supported back in march that coincided with resistance 2's patch.
however, very few games seem to be making use of it.

Yeah, requires game support still, so it isn't a system level implementation even though the ability is there. It's a shame that Sony hasn't put in a solution more like what is on the 360, hopefully the PS4 has it.

I did get my TW 2010 thing figured out. Its a bit of a kluge but it does work. Probably messes up the whole trophy thing but oh well at least the wife and I can enjoy some golf while we drink our coffee on the weekends.

The normal way to do this would be to have separate profiles for you and your wife at the system level. That gives you own space for save games, and lets you each have your own PSN login with associated trophies. Trying to play multiplayer on the same console though you may be stuck doing things under the same profile.

That is what we did, both custom golfers are under my PSN user account and this is the only way it works.

On TW08 and 09 on the Xbox 360, we both had our own live logins our own achievements etc. The Xbox was moved downstairs for the teen a while ago and we missed playing Golf and I wanted a Blu-ray player so that is where the PS3 came in. Little did I know that the multiplayer / on-line components of the PS3 isn't quite as nice or as easy as it is on the Xbox 360.

It sounds like EASports could implement similar abilities if they put it in the game kind of like how LBP does it. That would mean more R&D on their part however.

From what I remember even on LBP all the trophies only apply to the main profile you are playing under. I'm sure the companies involved would prefer you to just buy another console and another copy of the game, but if they are going to support console multiplayer they should at least bother to do it properly. Certainly some R&D would be involved but it should be minimal for a game that already supports those features on another console.

I don't think I'll be completely satisfied until you can do online saves. Profile stuff like this needs to be portable.. And games that lock save data to prevent copying also belong online, so you don't lose it when a console dies and so you can still show stuff to friends without having to drag a console around.

Agreed 100% Hopefully Sony figures it out before OnLive catches up and makes everything else obsolete.
