Default Sony PS3 20GB is back!!!

Just looked at Gamestop, it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacckkkk!!! For $500, better off going PS3 20GB than the new sony BD player, you get BD + videogames(when they come out with some good ones). Plus, PS3 is HDMI 1.3, not sure about the new sony player.

I don't think the 20gb was ever a good deal to begin with. The hard drive is
too small and there's no wireless connectivity built in (and you can't add it
later.) I guess if you were *only* going to use it for playing Blu-Ray movies
it would be all right, but I got mine to do everything.

i personally agree with that but lots of people dont care for built in wireless or the hard drive factor or that they might later on add their on bigger hard drive and or add external. thats the nice part about the PS3 is that its so expandible

Yeah, For me the extra $100 it was worth it. But cant the 20G PS3 be hooked up with a wireless network adapter like the 360?

uumm. I know through a router, it can act as a wifi point so you can do a wireless PSP connect and such but like a USB wireless adaptor, i dont think so... but like you said, for me, for $100 was not even a choice, i was gaining alot for that $100 but then again, i paid $1300+ for my PS3 lol

I'm not a gamer, so that's all I bought my PS3 for and I went for the 20GB model. It sits just a few feet from my router, so the 6 ft. ethernet cable included worked just fine.

As to the OP, I thinks it's just leftover stock. I always assumed Sony dropped the 20GB model because they were losing too much money on it. The wireless adapter, 40GB larger hard drive & memory card reader couldn't have added to another $100 in cost. The main components of BD drive & cell processor in both models was the largest cost factor.
